This Safe, Happy Place Video” is another powerful way to find positive birth affirmation(s):
Sit or lay down comfortably and if you are comfortable with it, close your eyes. Picture yourself in a safe, happy place that brings you a sense of peace and calm. It may be a place from your childhood, or a place you explored in nature that is special to you. See yourself there, smell the air, feel the atmosphere on your skin, then picture your baby there with you, in your arms - breathe in the feeling that space makes you feel. Then this feeling, or a word that comes to you, becomes your birth word. With this one birth word, create an affirmation.
For example,
Positive birth word: Calm
Positive birth affirmation. “ I am calm as my baby comes to me.”
“I am calm, my baby is calm, all is well.”
HOT TIP: Each birthing parent is different. Sometimes students tell me their word came to them “picturing their dreamy birthing experience,” others say it was the “safe, happy place” visualization that their word comes to them. Stay open to it and see what word feels right and trust your intuition.
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN. ❤️
